2021 Highlights ✨
What a year it's been. From lockdown flower deliveries to event décor and theming, Giraffe have been a busy bunch. Let's look back at the year.
In February it was all things Valentines. We did a photoshoot with some wonderful drag queens, and then hit the road with all the bouquet orders.
Mother's Day in March saw some beautiful bouquets being made to commence the spring season and celebrate the wonderful Mums.
We stocked up on some cute little plants in our shop, and then set up lots of plants in restaurants and hotels in Manchester as outdoor dining opened in April. This shot is from The Refuge's terrace.
In May we took part in the Manchester Flower Show and set-up two displays, the first being a Secret Garden in St Anne's Square, which then led you to Waterhouse Way at The Refuge / Kimpton where the second display was. What a great event!
We finally brought Whitney the giraffe from our workshop to our studio, where she's much better placed for greeting customers!
One of the many weddings we did this year - this one really was special.
We kept our shop display looking fresh and creative all year with new plants, freshly made bouquets and a few other bits and bobs. The perfect little florist for passing by on a summer day in the city.
The team got super creative on this bespoke bouquet in September, but creativity flows every month of the year!
Things got spooky for Halloween in October. From themed corporate displays to pumpkin bouquets, we loved embracing this epic combo and bringing out the orange tones.
A crazy-busy month of Christmas preparations. Team Giraffe were all over the city setting up décor themes for client hotels, restaurants and other venues. We've lost count of how many trees we installed and decorated! Not forgetting the wreaths of course - we got ready for our wreath making workshops at The Refuge, and also got the range online for sale too.
And finally, December. The florist shop was stocked up with a range of cute Christmas flowers and gifts perfect for the festive period. Manchester's (very cold) passers by loved popping in for a cute Crimbo purchase.
